2011 AHP Funding Round

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle is pleased to announce the award of $2.3 million of AHP funding. The awards will support nine projects providing 189 affordable homes in four Western states.

2011 AHP Award Recipients

AHP funding availability for 2012 will be announced on or around March 1, 2012.

Since 1990, the Seattle Bank’s AHP has provided $142.8 million in subsidy to support the acquisition, development, or rehabilitation of nearly 27,200 units of affordable rental and owner-occupied housing for very low-, low-, and moderate-income households.

AHP subsidy may be used in a variety of ways, including to:

  • Reduce mortgage principal
  • Provide gap financing
  • Cover downpayment and closing costs
  • Lower the interest rate on a loan
