The Seattle Bank's 2008 Board of Directors is comprised of financial service, business, and community leaders from across our district. There are currently 18 directors; 10 are elected by members from their respective state or territory and eight are appointed by the Seattle Bank's regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Board. Three are community interest directors chosen from organizations with more than a two-year history of representing consumer or community interests on banking services, credit needs, housing, or financial consumer protections.

All directors serve on one or more of the Seattle Bank's 2008 board committees: Audit and Compliance, Executive, Financial Operations and Affordable Housing, and Governance, Budget and Compensation.

Elected directors must be officers or directors of member institutions. Appointive directors may not have any financial interest in a financial institution that is a member of the Seattle Bank. Directors serve three-year terms that are staggered to better ensure continuity in our corporate governance. Seattle Bank executives may not serve as chair or members of the Board of Directors.
